Railway Group D Written Exam Pattern 2023

The syllabus of the Railway Group D exam pattern is as critical as the job profile. Railway Group D Exam Pattern 2023 ( Brief Highlights)

  • The CBT examination will be a combination of 4 subjects
  • Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice questions.
  • The total duration of the examination will be 11/2 hours.
  • However, PWD candidates will be assigned a few extra time

as compared to the rest of the candidates.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2023

Railway Recruitment Cell will conduct a computer-based test to recruit candidates for group d posts. For all the group d posts, only one single exam will be organized. Candidates who qualify this CBT test, they will be shortlisted for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification (DV).

RRB Group D Test Paper will be organized at the examination center, which will be specified by the RRBs. Since this examination is all India level, thus examination centers will be as per the zones, which are participating in the RRB Group D recruitment process.

From this year, railway recruitment has ousted the provisions of ” Interview”. Thus candidates who will appear for the Group D examination, their merit will be based on written test, PET test and Document Verification.

RRC Group D PET Test 2023

This is the second round of selection, candidates who qualify for the CBT test they will be called for the PET test. This test will be qualifying in nature.

As per the official notification, for PET test candidates will be shortlisted two times the community wise total vacancy of the posts as notified against Participating RRBs. Criteria for Railway Group D PET Test Details shall be under.

 Male Candidates Female Candidates
  • Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. AND
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
  • Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. AND
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Note: Persons with disabilities are exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). But after passing the CBT Test, PWD category candidates will be medically examined.
