RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Board invites online applications on the basis of certain eligibility criteria. The major Railway Group D Eligibility 2025 are age limit, educational qualifications, physical fitness. Details of all these are covered in a specific manner in the below sections.

Railway Group D Educational Qualification

  • Educational criteria are imposed on the basis of the post for which you are applying. In short Educational/ Technical qualifications for group d posts vary from post to post.
  • For most of the posts, educational qualifications would be 10 th/12th passes.

Railway Group D Exam Age Limit 

  • An applicant who is willing to apply for group d post, his/her age must be between 18 years to 31 years.
  • However, the railway recruitment board has relaxed the RRB Group D Age (maximum age) criteria for certain sections of society. Details of category wise maximum age relaxation criteria shall be as follows.
  • Candidates belonging to (non-creamy layer)from SC/ST/OBC applying against unreserved vacancies.

OBC-Non Creamy Layer candidates 3 Years
Ex-Servicemen candidates who have put in not less than 6 months continuous service after attestation Up to the extent of service rendered in Defence plus 3 years

PWD OBC-Non Creamy Layer 13 Years
PWD SC/ST 15 Years
Candidates have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 5 Years
Candidates who are serving Group ‘C’ and Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Railway Staff, Casual Labour and Substitutes in Railways who have put in the minimum of 3 years service (continuous or in broken spells)  UR 40 Years of
OBC- Non-Creamy Layer 43 Years of age
SC/ST 45 Years of age
Candidates who are working in Quasi-Administrative offices of the Railway organization such as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies, and Institutes Up to the length of service rendered (or) 5 Years, whichever is lower.
Women candidates, who are widowed, divorced or judicially separated from husband but not remarried.  UR 35 Years of age
OBC- Non-Creamy Layer 38 Years of age
SC/ST 40 Years of age
Course Completed Act Apprentices applying for the posts for which minimum qualification is ITI/Course Completed Act Apprenticeship. Shall be relaxed to the extent of Apprentice Training undergone by them under the Apprentice Act 1961.
Candidates who have commenced Act Apprentice under the Apprenticeship Act before attaining the age of 25 years UR 35 Years of age
OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) 38 Years of age
SC/ST 40 Years of age

Date of birth of (reserved category) candidates should be between the dates as given below.

How to Score 100% Marks in Railway Group D

RRB Group D Medical Test Details 

Candidates who passed all the phases of selection at the time of medical fitness, railway recruit board conducts this exam to ensure that the candidates are medically fit or not.

However, failing to above mentioned Railway Group D Eligibility 2025 criteria, candidates are also granted a few months duration to improve the shortcomings that they possess.

C-1 Distant Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.

Railway Group D Physical Efficiency Test Details 

Though PET examination doesn’t count under eligibility criteria, in order to get the final selection, one should have enough stamina so that he clear this round of selection and this part of selection rounds.

Since as usual saying, last round of selection is very critical as well as crucial, so as per railway recruitment board candidates who will clear the below mentioned PET exam terms and conditions, these will be provisionally selected.

Terms and Conditions of RRB Group D PET Exam & Details 

Male Candidates Female Candidates
  • Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. And
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
  • Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. And
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
