SBI PO Syllabus
State Bank of India (SBI) is an Indian Multinational Government Banking Sector and Financial Service Company, headquarter located in Mumbai. Every year, SBI conducts various exams for fulfill the vacant seats in various departments. Already, SBI has been announced the employment notification for Probationary Officer posts. SBI will be conducted Preliminary exam in the month of April and May 2017. All participated candidates have three months for exam preparations. SBI PO Exam Syllabus 2017
The syllabus of an examination is the most vital part of the exam process. Without studying the syllabus of the examination, candidates can’t get to selected in the examination. All the eligible candidates who have applied for SBI PO Exam 2017 are advised to start preparing for the examination before they study the syllabus. Candidates are well aware that are three stages in the SBI PO Exam 2017 i.e. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Descriptive Test. SBI PO Exam Pattern
There are three different exam patterns for SBI Probationary Officer Exam. The state Bank of India Exam pattern details is given below.
Preliminary Exam Pattern
The SBI PO Prelims Examination will consist of Objective tests for 100 marks which will be conducted online. This test would have 1-hour duration consisting of 3 section as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
SBI PO Syllabus for Preliminary Exam

|2||Quantitative Aptitude||Number Series, Simplification/ Approximation, Quadratic Equations, Data Interpretation, Miscellaneous (Age, Mixture Allegation, Partnership, Pipes and Cisterns, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, Probability etc.)|
|3||Reasoning Ability||Puzzle and Circular/Linear/Square Arrangement (3-4 sets of puzzles may be asked in exam), Inequality, Syllogism (Old and New Pattern), Coding – Decoding (Old and New Pattern), Blood Relations, Direction sense, Order and Ranking|
Main Exam Pattern
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
- Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

- Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in the objective test.
