1. 9th April: CRPF Valour and Sardar Post Day
Major Highlights:
- The The Central Reserve Police Force i.e. CRPF celebrated its 53rd Sahurya Divas (Valour Day) on 9th April 2018.
- The CRPF celebrates 9 April as Shaurya Diwas to commemorate the defence of the Sardar post in the Rann of Kutch during the Indo-Pak War of 1965.
- The CRPF was formed in 1939 and is one of the largest of the five forces.

2. Presidential Visit: President Kovind holds talks and signs agreements with Swaziland King Mswati III
Major Highlights:
- President Ram Nath Kovind, is on a three-nation Africa visit where delegation-level talks have been held with Swaziland King Mswati III in Mbabane.
- Meanwhile in the talks for growth and development India and Swaziland signed two agreements on health and visa waiver.
- President Kovind was also conferred with Order of the Lion, the highest award of Swaziland.
3. Theatre Olympics concludes, 450 shows in 17 cities
Major Highlights:
- The event of Theatre Olympics began on 17th February which concluded in Mumbai after 51day run across 17 cities.
- The event witnesses 450 shows from more than 30 countries.
- This was the 8th theatre Olympics which were inaugurated by the Vice President Venkaiah Naidu at the Red Fort.
- The Theatre Olympics were organized by National School of Drama under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.

4. The yearlong centenary celebration of Champaran Satyagraha to conclude at Motihari in Bihar
Major Highlights:
- The centenary celebration of Champaran Satyargraha is being organized as a precursor of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi against the open defecation.
- Event will be addresses by ambassadors of Cleanliness viz Sawachhagrahis.
- The event will take place at the historic Gandhi Maidan of Motihari.

- Jitu Rai in 10m air pistol shooting won gold medal for the country.
- While Mehuli Ghosh won silver in the women’s 10m Air Rifle event.
- Bronze were given by Om Prakash Mitharval, Apurvi Chandela won bronze in the event.
