1. PM Modi launched Van Dhan Scheme
Major Highlights:
- The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi launched the Van Dhan Scheme of Ministry of Tribal Affairs and TRIFED.
- Under the scheme, Van Dhan Vikas Kendra is for providing skill upgradation and capacity building training and setting up of primary processing and value addition facility.
- This first model Van DhanVikas Kendra is being setup in Bijapur will have primary level processing facility for Tamarind brick making, Mahua flower storage facility and chironjee cleaning and packaging.

2. Union Tourism Minister KJ Alphons inaugurates ICI
Major Highlights:
- Newly, Indian Culinary Institute has been inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister KJ Alphons in Noida.
- The institute has been inaugurated to preserve, document, promote and disseminate Indian cuisine.
- The institute will also offer various courses ranging from diploma, under graduation, post graduation to research in Culinary Arts.
3. Senior Advocate Indu Malhotra sworn in as Supreme Court judge
Major Highlights:
- Indu Malhotra took oath of office as Supreme Court judge, becoming the first woman lawyer to enter the top judiciary directly.
- It is the first time when the apex court has two women judges; the other is Justice R. Banumathi.
- Since independence, Indu Malhotra is the 7th women to be Supreme Court Judge. Justice Fathima Beevi was the first woman judge of the Supreme Court.
- Now the strength of Supreme Court rose to 25 but still having short of 6 more members in 31.

4. Indian women boxers lead in Asian Youth Championships
Major Highlights:
- The Asian Youth Championships being organized in Bangkok where Indian women boxers claimed 3 gold medals.
- Nitu Ghanghas (48kg) claim the first gold for India while Manisha (64kg) and Lalita (69kg) also finished on top in the tournament.
- In the silver medal list also women dominated while, only one medal could be fetched by men player Ankit Khatana (60kg). Boxers Anamika (51kg), Sakshi (81kg) and Neha Yadav (+81kg) triumphed in the league.
